Hadith Reflection
Privacy Policy
Effective 23 September 2026
Short version: Hadith Reflection has no accounts, no ads and no analytics. Everything you write stays on your device. We never receive it, so we can't read, sell or share it.
What stays on your device
- Your reflections, with the hadith each one belongs to and the date you wrote it.
- Downloaded collections, so you can read offline.
- Your settings (theme, text sizes, whether Arabic is shown) and your last reading position.
These are kept in your browser's storage (IndexedDB and localStorage) on your phone or computer. They are never sent to us or anyone else. Uninstalling the app or clearing its storage deletes them, so use Settings → Export journal to keep a backup.
Services the app contacts
To work, the app downloads public content from these services. The requests contain no personal data. As with any website, each service can see your IP address and device type when your phone connects to it.
| Service | Why |
|---|---|
| jsDelivr and GitHub | Hadith text, translations and grades, from the open-source hadith-api |
| Google Fonts | The typefaces used for Arabic and English text |
| Netlify | Hosts the app itself |
Sharing
When you tap Share on a hadith, your phone's share sheet opens with the text (and your reflection, if you wrote one). Nothing is sent unless you choose an app to share it with.
Children
The app collects no personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new effective date.
